I find mine are great, maybe because I'm of normal / average size that sit in a seat designed for a normal / average person. If a person is overweight and wants to fit into the average designed seat then its a squeeze to say the least. Likewise if you are prone to back problems then its no good to blame a cars seats, they are truly designed to try and cover for all.

Pedals are slightly off centre though which tends to put more weight from my thigh into the right hand side of the seat cushion.

FL seats are very good. I used to get the odd twinge from the Forester after about 3 hours or so, but with the FL I can sit in it all day (8+ hours on occasion) with no problems at all, and I'm 6'.

I guess we are all different anatomically but I find the seats in my SE to be great. I travelled from Stroud to Thurso return last year with about 10 hours in the saddle and a 1to2 hour break without problems. My wife even comments as to how comfortable they are Smile MY 09 GS manual in Lago Grey, Wood Co arm rest and side bumper strips - now sold.

Its the lumber feature that helps no end. If I drive a car with bottom of the range seats designed around a park bench without lumber adjustment my back aches after a 100 miles or so.

Unfortunately I'm still having problems with the seat, and it is the seat and not me.

The manual seats in the 2013 onwards FL2s don't have lumbar support, and there's just a void where it should be which is the cause of the problem - I don't have a back problem normally, and I'm average size in most respects (height, weight etc.).

As I've said earlier in this thread, I've driven lots of FL2s over the years without problem and it is purely the design of the seat that's causing problems. In fact I've driven lots of different vehicles of all types over the years, some with pretty ropey seats, without an issue.

I've got to the stage that it's got to go - but I know the forum's restrictions on selling. Gordon
