The most likely cause is a joint in the pipe coming apart. You could start by having a look at the joint from the pump, and checking for any puddles anywhere else. Presumably the washer bottle is full? I think I read somewhere that the rear wash-wipe will stop working before the front one (different outlets from the reservoir) although that may well be some other car - the memory is very hazy. Although the rear washer is currently inoperative, it worked OK until just after the 3 year service by the local main dealer???!!! I have looked at the rear high level brake light and can see no external screws. Is it necessary to remove some internal trim to get to the inside of the unit? To me d.I.y means 'destroy it yourself', so dis-assemblying the car makes me very nervous. How easy is it to unfix the trim, and how easy is it to refix? Thanks for further technical advice. |

Rear (tailgate) trim has two screws, one in each internal handle. Once these are unscrewed a swift pull will have it off. Search YouTube as you can watch someone do it, I think from PowerfulUkltd. |

No screws I think - the top piece is just a pull-off. A previous poster wrote:

Daft question here, the garage says the pump is ok, can you hear the pump working when you try to operate it??
