Clunking sound

Hi
All Im a freelander2 newbie I've had two freelander 1s before but never noticed this sound before on either of them when I stop the engine take the key fob out of the dash and lock the car about 5 seconds later I hear a clunk sound come from the front of engine followed by a whining sound then second clunk there don't seen to be anything wrong with the car at all performance wise just wandered what the sound iS as I've never heard on any of my previous freelander excuse my lack of knowledge but I'm not very mechanically minded lol Shocked
