I paid £14k for my 10 plate hse with 68000 on the clock 3 weeks ago. Dealer had it up for £15k. Tbh i think i paid near top money for it. Alot of sellers private and dealer alike will chock up the price as they expect to get kicked in the sack and it leaves them where they wanted to be by over pricing initialy.

The the assumption its a 2010 60 plate facelift auto with no options (going for worst case scenario) it lists at £12300-14400 as a private sale condition dependant. |

You need to remember that 4x4's take a big drop in price at this time of year and most dealers won't pay top prices now as they are harder to move during spring/summer. £12K is a good trade in price but I don't think you would get anywhere near £14.4K private, more like £13K. |

Before you jump out of the frying pan & into the fire. I would work out precisely what make & model you are going to replace it with so you know the typical issues of the replacement car you are likely to face. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Like anything its worth what someone will pay. I know i wouldve paid £500 more if my car had been bali blue and dealer wouldnt go lower. But i wouldve walked away at anything higher than i paid in zermatt silver.

Thanks everyone. The prices seem to be about right actually based on what others have said. My car has no extras - just the GS spec.
