Piano Black Steering Wheel

Im contemplating about getting my current heated steering wheel or a brand new one retrimmed in piano black similar to the XXV Discovery. It will have to be a heated wheel as my current one is but I do not want the heat to be lost in the new process. Is there was to adjust the tempeature a tad higher if need be?

I just hope a year only its not badly marked with dry skin from hands rubbing all over it... MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

One reason Im not using my FL2 at the moment because it hasnt got a heated steering wheel , heated gear shift knob and indicator stalks, ridiculous really how they expect you to be able to drive it in the winter. Rolling Eyes

I was having a similar conversation with my friend Steve who owns Classic Car services in Leicester. They are a re-trimming company. He has looked in depth at the heated steering wheel, as he now owns a well optioned Freelander 2 SD4 XS!

I was looking to have part of mine done in ivory, but unfortunately, the heater element is bonded to the leather on the steering wheel, so as soon as you take off the leather, the heater element is knackered.

So there are not many options with the steering wheel if it is heated.

This is the steering wheel he re-trimmed for my Astra! His leather work is just amazing. I have lost count of the amount of Ranger Rover Sports, Range Rover Evokes, Freelander 2's and Disco's he has re-trimmed for dealers and private customers!

Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Mr. Green  Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
