Updating 2011 HSE satnav?

Hi All

I haven't yet picked up the new (to me) FL2. It is a 2011 HSE and will have the colour screen satnav.

From reading around, I think that the 2011 model uses a DVD to update, rather than a hard drive but can anyone tell me (a) how to update the satnav and (b) the likely cost? I have heard horror stories about dealers wanting £150 to £300, which is plain crazy.

You can buy direct from the manufacturer:

Unfortunately they are quoting £171.00 for the 3 discs that cover Western Europe.

You could also try and get hold of a set of Volvo discs which are compatible.

Updating the sat nav is a simple process of inserting the DVD into the unit under the drivers seat.
It takes about 30 minutes and is automatic apart from 1 or 2 prompts on screen at start.

Regards
Joe Fix it until it's broke !
