Towbar/electrical questions

I'm thinking of getting an RV (sorry CG!) and I have two questions re: the hitch equipment.

1. The towbar lists a max hitch weight of 330 pounds, similar to that listed in the manual for the car itself. However, the manual also lists that you can up this past 500 pounds assuming GVW is not met and that you don't overload the rear axle. Does this also apply to the hitch receiver itself, or would I still be limited to 330 pounds? This is important to me because the Airstream 16' International CCD RV I was considering has a GVWR of 3500 pounds (ok) but a tongue weight of 430 pounds.
2. The electrical connection LR installs is supposedly a four pine connector, but the RV requires a 7 pin connector. I see that there's a 4-7 pin connector for the LR3 and RRS, but in calling the dealer, he doesn't believe it would apply to the LR2. Furthermore, he claimed the LR2 electrical connection isn't hard-wired to support trailer braking, just the lights. Is this all true?

How have you all gotten past these issues?

Sorry River02, your trailer electric hook up requirements in the US are different to the UK so unlikely any of us Brit's can help on that. (for towing RV's we use either two seven pin plugs or a single 13 pin plug and we don't do electric trailer brakes)

And with the hitch requirment again your system is different to ours, I'm sure the same logic applies to overall trailer weight, but our towbars don't have a receiver as such. Would have hoped your dealer can give you the tech specs for the towbar/receiver.

Thanks for the info. Oh well. I'll see if Land Rover themselves (not the dealer) can clarify this for me.
