Luckily I got a warning message on mine saying it will be upgraded automatically on Monday! I just selected cancel and turned it off. It did say you can revert back to Windows 8 within 31 days for Free. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Couldn't have an X-Ray at the dentist this morning, because the controller PC was upgrading to Win 10. The dentist was fuming that one of his staff must have clicked the wrong button, but seems from this that it was automatic.

I work in the Dental Industry, I particularly specialize in X-Ray products, the biggest issue we have is customers having kit that 'upgrades' itself, all windows PC's can be disabled from automatic updates. It is highly unlikely that the software he has will not work, as very few manufactures have updated their systems. We always ensure our clients have a few self developing x-ray films on site, just in case |

Windows 10 is, indeed, a great improvement over 8, however, for what I want it for I've yet to find anything which it does significantly better than 7!

+1. I was using 7 and did not upgrade to 8 as it did not seem very well thought out to me, now running 10 Pro and very pleased, just had to update driver on one of the printers, the plotter worked fine. |

You can use alright on Win10 a virtual machine (VirtualBox, VMWare, etc) and install there any environment you need for your old programs. |
