Was yours cutting out completely or just sounding like someone was turning the volume down a bit? FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I find a difference sometimes which seems to relate to the volume when the track was ripped onto the MP3. One album in particular always replays the tracks from it quieter. Otherwise no issues to report. 12MY 61plate FL2 TD4 auto GS Orkney Grey Roof spoiler full size spare

It was like turning down volume and sometimes music was ok but the singing very faint. The connector in the plug was not making proper contact with the socket |

This certainly isn't a source issue in terms of volume equalisation. These are proper purchased tracks which have no issues on headphones or other devices. It does sound like at the system is struggling at points when there is a lot of bass - the sub kicks in then the whole thing turns down a bit, then comes back up. I gave up with the aux cable for 2 reasons , I couldn't be bothered with the wire + the sound wasn't any better than Bluetooth . I bought a micro 32g usb stick from Maplins for about £25, works a treat and it holds most of my music collection. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

Aux or CD are my only options as mine is too old to have music over Bluetooth.

When you say "fitted" is that in place of the stock head unit? I have considered replacing my head unit but buying all the extra bits to keep parking sensors etc working makes it very costly. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

There is a possibility of a dry joint in the circuit, when initially plugged in it makes full contact, as the time goes on the jack settle to a position where there is resistance, this will be be due to a light coating on either the jack or in the socket. Two options, change the socket. or try cleaning the plug and socket then lightly coat with petroleum jelly my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
