Colour

The only remaining issue important to a woman buying a Freelander 2 - the colour.
Should it be Grey or the orange one?
Which will have best resale value? Rolling Eyes

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but if its new the Tambora Flame has been discontinued Sad

But on the bright side Stornaway grey is a fantastic colour Thumbs Up

Rimini Red looks great, and the Bright Metalic Blue called Caspian Blue looks good too Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Not sure you can get the orange one any longer as a new vehicle. In my opinion Stpornoway Grey looks best - I have Zermatt Silver but this would not hjave been my first choice had I been better able to choose. Can imagine that Tambora Flame is an aquired taste and probably not good for re-sale.

agree

I agree with Npinks, Stornaway Grey or Caspian Blue look excellent. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Personally, I was also very tempted by the white one, which can look very cool too Razz (though they don't seem to be popular here! Rolling Eyes )

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Tambora Flame

Sorry - you've definately missed the boat on tambora flame - brilliant colour and really easy to spot in a crowded car park (at night whilst wearing sunglasses Laughing )
There a still a few nice ex demos around though.

Having missed out on the best colour - I'd go for the rimmini red. Look classiest IMHO.

I'd avoid white as to me it always has and always will look cheap. Like they couldn't be bothered to put a proper colour on it.

All the other colours are equally nice and won't affect resale values.. 07 Freelander 2 TD4SE Tambora Flame, side steps, privacy glass, mud flaps, boot liner and a tow bar. Ok it's the Wifes but she lets me drive it occasionally - if I've been good!

I really wonder why Tonga Green is not more popular Question This would have been my first choice if I hadn’t had to wait months for an ordered car Rolling Eyes

Otherwise Rimmini Red really does look smart and certainly suits the FL2 and the best flamboyant colour, if that is what you’re into.

For the more conservative and guaranteed high resale price there is really only one choice – Stornoway Grey, although it is hard to admit but black does look smart, but it is a pig to keep clean (or even looking clean) Whistle . 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Black cleaning problems cured Thumbs Up Two Meguiars drying towels one in each hand 2 minutes buffing and the car is shiny black after a wash. Maybe a squirt or two of turtle wax 'wax it wet' too Thumbs Up
So no reason for anyone not to choose the best colour At work

Tambora Flame has lower residuals...there's no denying the evidence from second hand prices. On the other hand, Baltic Blue is rarer but still conservative. Far too many Stornoway Grey and Blacks Razz Phil

Well - it is decision time!! Many thanks for your input guys, it is very much appreciated.

Tonga Green - NO there is enough greenery around here
Red - mmmmm I like red
Blue - I have never bought a blue car.
White - I used to have a white car which I loved and cried when I sold it Big Cry
Black - Pig to clean, Just exchanging a black one - time for new colour
Orange - Luurrrrrvly. Can't be bothered looking for a demo even though it would save me ££££s

So it has to be .............

Neutral Censored Embarassed Rolling Eyes Embarassed Whistle Idea Sheep Sheep

GREY -

classy - but - by the sounds of it - common as muck, just what it was built to drive in!!!
