I'm thinking of Blacking out the C Pillars on my Freelander. The break before the rear windows bugs me, especially in silver like mine, not so much on darker models. Has anyone done this? I get that it's a design feature, like a mini version of the roof hump and separated rear windows on the Disco, but I'd rather have a wrap-around windows look, and I noticed its more range-rover looking.

I bought some black vinyl (Fablon 'black board' vinyl, as I think a matte finish would look most like the textured plastics.)

Looking at the range rovers, even the windscreen surrounds have a black coating, just as far as the top of the screen. It stops with a simple cut edge, so I'm thinking it could look just as oem here.

Not a lot to lose in trying, I'll post up pics when I've had a chance to do it.

Makes a huge difference, I'm definitely doing it!

A few others struggle with search, what search terms did you use?
Maybe the search engine is filtering out too much?

Thinking back I can't blame the forum, I think I just googled 'Freelander C pillar black', found nothing of interest then posted on here. Searching here 'Pillars Black' would have shown me what I needed.
