Gambba some aspects of modern Mercedes maybe a bit disappointing but the engine and auto box on my dads car are truly impressive,he bought it new two years ago and its never let him down yet

The new MB GLK looks like an “off road hearse” to me, but I guess MB-owners need an alternative to go off-asphalt with Although the interior is as usual very MB premium, the rest of it looks as uninspiring as the 4x4 Audi's and VW’s to me.

I too am ex-A3 (2.0 TDi SE 3dr) driver. Needed more space for family although must admit that still miss aspects of A3 ( Heated seats had 5 settings, parkability, fuel economy 45mpg compared to my now 31 ! oh and C band VED)

My A3 didn't have heated seats so something new on Freelander, on the Quattro only averaged 39mpg and get about 32mpg now don't think a loss of 7mpg is bad for the size of the car.

You got a HSE without heated seats - aren’t they standard in the UK 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

Would hardly think you need heated seats with 5 settings in the UK However in winter Norway it might help if #5 setting was "hot toasted bun" temperature 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

I'm actually waiting for the sportback ( I call it the mini Avant) here in the US as we can now get the 2.0T with Quattro and Stronic. MY09 - dealer said he expected to have one to test tomorrow... |

My main problem is that here the seat heaters seem to be stuck on setting 3 (Hot cross bum setting), even though I don't have seat heaters, and the whole interior appears to be heated too! Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back! |
