They haven't reduced the lighting power, the reason there is no longer a separate bulb for main beam, is that the headlight simply opens a shutter to allow the bulb to give the main beam effect. The shuts for dipped beam. My Audi is just the same. I have upgraded the bulbs in my 13MY to 6000k bulbs and they are for sure better, and give that Xenon blue tint that the standard 4500k bulbs failed to give. I would have thought two bulbs should give a better light than one,certainly did on my disco3! |

Mav, I must disagree, there is a difference from experience with my FL and having had many LR and other lesser company cars, even my wife xenon Fiat 500 gets better with the supplementary halogen full beam on as well as the shutter fully opening on the xenon.
