New to FL2.com

Hi Newbie to the site.

Had a Freelander 1 as my first intro into Land Rovers Part ex'd it last week for a 2013 Freelander 2 white version of the Black and White edition. I had bought my wife a new one last year in black and it has taken me two months to get the same edition with the same style steering wheel. I didn't realize that even though the Black and white model was a LE it would have different steering wheels depending on when it was produced.

We can now jump into either of the cars and drive off with all the controls being the same with just the car's colors being the difference, oh and mine had been fitted with front and rear parking sensors by previous owner, guess what the wife wants for Christmas.

Could anyone tell me which would be the best way to have sensors fitted, proper Land Rover sensors fitted by the dealer or after market ones fitted by supplier.

Wifes Freelander at the dealers on the day we bought it.

I didn't realize when buying the new Freelander, that a half day land Rover experience was included and on the advice of my boss whose son drives for Land Rover, i payed the extra and made it a full day. We went to Peckforton Castle and had an amazing time, if we use 10-20% of what we learn't of the Freelanders abilities in the lifetime we own them i will be amazed, such a capable vehicle.

I will post a picture of both Freelanders together when i can. GTM Spyder Soft top,

Judging by the number of problems discussed with Freelanders on this forum it will be useful to have two as you will always have a spare one when the inevitable problems start. Smile

I think that if you had land rover front sensors fitted it would cost a small fortune what with sensors housings wiring looms,Ecu and dash switches, with aftermarket kits the problem is to get the angle right on the outer two sensors,I mounted mine in the fog light surrounds and fitted a valeo kit I bought of eBay. Right chaps there my spares and i will do what i want with them, so don't come asking Rolling with laughter

As for the parking sensors on the Black freebe, i have bought front and back aftermarket ones and rather than trying to fit them myself i opted for the manufacturers local installer to do the job. There is a lifetime guarantee on the parts and if you use there fitter there is a guarantee on the installation as well.

Submarine, I am down in Cardiff at the end of the month so don't be getting any ideas for spares Laughing GTM Spyder Soft top,
