Has anyone trimmed the plastic boot panels.....

.....with black car carpeting?

I've just bought my first FL2 and whoever owned the car before let their dog scratch the black plastic to bits. My outgoing MG ZT-T had the trims carpeted and it looked so much nicer. I do have dogs (good dogs that don't scratch) but instead of buying new panels, I have wondered about having them trimmed. I know I can buy a boot liner but would rather cover up the cheap looking plastic for good.

BTW loving my freely Very Happy

Hi Moordogs,
just go buy the Freelander full boot liner, Covers everything and keeps all as new.
They are about £125-00 inc.
Took me 2 mins to fit and my under carpet and plastics are as new
unless of course you have access to lots of carpet! Smile Hit it he said, Hit it!--So I hit it, then he hit me---Doh!
