The Ardnamurchan peninsula is a breathtaking place, been many times and never tire of it, as you say though, it's a strenuous drive but well worth the effort |

The best way to Ardnamurchan Point is on a spinnaker sleigh ride from Oban up the sound of Mull. I've always been surprised how different the scenery looks from the water as opposed to driving amongst it. There's certainly less traffic on the water route, unfortunately I never had the time to go further north than Tobermory when I had the yacht. as the scenery gets even better especially the Raasay Sound on a mid June evening viewed from the sea, but that was work not pleasure. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I could only imagine how good it must look from the sea DTO. The wife and I went to mull from Oban once , it was Baltic so I stayed inside the ferry . Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

Strontian - that brings back memories... Is there still a tiny village shop petrol station on the shore, just round the corner from the hotel? I did some work there nearly 20 years ago on it! 2000 Xei 1.8 gone

I once did some "work" in Kilchoan. I recall that was pretty remote and single track road all the way. |

Looks fantastic, i'd love to do a drive like that, unfortunately the wife isn't interested in holidays like that. |
