I very much doubt there are classics, but a few old bangers described as historic, seeing as they had to be running when exchanged for the new car I suspect any genuine classic and historic cars were lifted out of the scheme by the dealers. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

You will find many good & often mint cars would be in this stupid scheme. I have heard & seen of many fine examples going for scrap this way because the owners were brainwashed into thinking they were getting a good deal & saving the planet = a Big LOL.
The guy who thought this up as it says on the E-Petition says to auction them which = Money. In many cases I suspect far more than £2000 will be achieved which is what the owners would I believe had been paid. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red. according to the google search the 2009 scrapage scheme left these "classics" destined for the crusher
