my LR2 done 153000 km lately I heard noise on / off
It took me a wile till I found the noise source as I assumed that was related to belt
Unfortunately it's from the engine I discovered when I open the oil cap a pressured air is released and noise disappearing and coming again as oil filling cap closed
I'm linking a video for that .

Any body experienced the same ? Any information about estimated cost parts needed ... If it's bad ... How much bad it's ???

but only appears some time
i will try to open the oil cup when it happens..

Here you'll find a lot of people with diesels, but, to my knowledge, on a petrol car, if you open the oil cap and pressurized air is released, then you have a problem with the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation).

You should solved it as soon as possible because those blow-by gases, under pressure on the crankcase, will try escape through where they can and the most sensible places are the oil seals on the crankshaft and camshafts.
So you'll have then a lot of additional problems like oil leaks and so on...

Not to mention that a lot of pressure just means that the piston rings are somewhat quite worn.
