I've heard a lot similar to what you said steve, and I haven't made any firm decisions - far too impulsive for things like that lol, I've honestly looked at anything from a superduke, Z1000, street triple. vfr, 1200GS, K1600GT, and victory hammer S.... you wouldn't believe how long it takes me if I try to make a decision so I end up going for whichever takes my fancy lol. Won't be having another proper sportsbike though, I just found them too uncomfortable for me, and I had a tendency of crashing them one way or another (never another vehicle involved, just my own stupidity lol)

A Stag! I always wanted one of those. Lucky you having two toys to play with! I gave up my classics when I got into bikes - didn't have the time to do them anymore plus the wife was always too embarrased when we went out in them with people looking, pointing and talking to us!

I always built my own though from a bare shell. Had more fun building them than driving them.

The RS was just a rep but with all the right bits plus a Cosworth block and 5 speed 'box . The Twink was original.

Nice cars Steve, I restored my stag in 2009. I bought it with an MOT and on the road but being a fussy old git I had to have right. I won best MK2 with it at our Club National Day in 2013 with it In your neck of the woods (North Weald aerodrome)

Here you are guys, It took me about 5 months to restore. I stripped it back to a rolling shell. Apart from actually applying the paint I did all the work myself. and ended up spending about £5k - £6k on it. Its a big part of my life now and the social scene with it via the club is great.

My Wife loves it and the bike as well

Just returning to biking, last bike owned in the 80's, however only rode 250 on L's
Done CBT and theory, waiting for better weather for Mod 1 & 2 on DAS.
Wife's idea for me to get an old bike to restore so now proud owner of CB250 Superdream (as I previously had).
She will never ride pillion !!
When and if I pass will get back on CB250 (now running great) hope to then pick-up a Deauville.

I had 2 Super dreams (or wet dreams) as they were known. not the fastest 250 of the time by a long way but a nice big, solid feel about them.

Always fancied getting a Suzuki 750 GT (Kettle) the first bike that scared me but they fetch big money now and with the 2 toy's I already have I might be pushing it a bit with the other half
