Global Closing / Configurable vehicle options?

Just discovered that by pressing the unlock button and holding drops all the windows and according to the "Quick Start Guide" visa versa - NO! Dealer tells me that in Australia the raise feature been deactivated due to safety concerns but can be changed.
This led me to my questions, what else can you change, where is this menu available on the Freelander 2 (im not talking about the Vehicle Set Up Menu on the instrument menu).
I read elsewhere someone had gone in an change the configuration so that on the dash instead of it just saying P,R,N or D that he'd reconfigured so that it showed you which gear you were in as the gearbox was changing.
Can anyone enlighten me on this or is it always back to the dealer for them to change?
Is it in the Hidden Service Menu on the main screen?
Really like to know more if anyone has some experience.
Thanks.

I don't think there's a hidden menu as such. I think that you have to get deep, deep into the electrics and perform some sort of re-writing of the codes. I think Alex on here did the gear thing. I also don't think that it's the sort of thing that dealers do but I may be wrong.

The hidden menu is called the "e mode" menu. Dealer made it sound like just had to tick a box, not a drama if I desired it! Pics attached.
