Good point, just creeps in £20 below the GS manual, which itself jsut creeps in below the max. Will have to what S spec is like in a few months time, wonder how an S would cope at Tong ?? I'm locked in to the residual value of my car as set in Jan 07 so I'm OK on that score. However the same deal now shows a drop of £2600 on the residual, for the most part its that drop that has pushed the price up, though there is an extra loading on running cost to cover VED. (our deals run for 30 months). The values they have for the GS auto are quite a concern, at the front end the price is £1400 higher but after 30 months the residual is only £400 higher so there is an extra £1000 lost there (on a new deal) |

I'm a great believer in less is more, A RRS is big thirsty and clumsy to park while not really sporty at all, The FL2 is just a nice size and if I wanted a faster car I would get a car not a 4x4. At work

I made the above comment some time ago and the situation has deteriorated since then. Have been in touch with the lease compnay and this current state of play. Price of a like for like replacement of my FL2 GS is now +49% on price in Jan 07 (thats the lease price) I've also just received valuation on the current car, 30 months old, 62k miles, current market value £11,070, The oustanding balance exceeds the 'market value' by more than £3,300 so I wont be buying the car. Luckily I can just hand the car back without penalty. If I was buying into a new FL2 GS lease today then the 30 month value is shown as .... £8,700 hence the shocking increase in monthly lease cost. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor ... but not any more ... ... psst look at my gallery! Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013. |

My favourite it was at the end when he says "we had it a bit sideways there" and the nervous laugh from the girlfriend |
