Apparently, Gareth Bale earns my weekly salary in 10 minutes and it would take me 1018 years to earn his annual salary!!

Hmmm. If people weren't prepared to pay the thick end of £100 to see them kick a ball about for 90 minutes they wouldn't get it and if they are.........well, who should get the lions share of those vast profits, the football club owners? |

Evidently the price of the TV rights are governed by expected advertising revenue.

Same could be said of pop stars and those that pay vast sums to go to pop concerts. Say, Leona Lewis, but who on here would do that? Wait a minute.......... |

^ Pop stars get paid very little by comparison, ticket prices were circa £60 if I recall but I would have paid double that. Voice of an angel

Your forgetting though that pop stars also get the royalties from the sales of the singles, albums etc, they only seem to be around for a year a two, then having earned enough they disappear. |

I still can't imagine anyone who is currently very popular and has been for a few years, say Bruno Mars, getting close to a top footballers wage even with royalties LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Admittedly, footballers are overpaid, many of them if it wasn't for football would he doing a stretch, but who's to blame here, the footballer for taking what he's offered |

Get a grip! You are clearly tone deaf and not qualified to comment. You can have an opinion on whether or not you like an artist but she can sing well live and hit the big notes. That is a FACT you cannot argue against. I have seen her live where she sounds even better than on TV. Again FACT. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby LOT (Lord of Time) - University of Gallifrey |
