Yes, looked at one of these too. But after following the auto express long term review the figures not so good;

Mileage: 10,135
Fuel economy: 54mpg

See here;

This is the result when subjected to the standard EU Co2 and fuel consumption test, with a fully charge battery and just enough fuel to complete the test in an ambient temperature of 20deg C minimum. it doesn't take in to account UK conditions or the cost of replacement batteries in year ??. nor does it mention any recovery system when driven over longer differences. The road tests I've seen only mention road test use to the office and the maximum commute of 70 miles, with a recharge to return in the evening, which I think gave about 80 plus mpg. I suppose battery life and your usage will decide its worth. From the Wizking post it isn't my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

The towing capacity is limited too - much less than the diesel equivalent.

a couple of things about this

1) Its an Outlander..nuff said
2) only the very expensive top of the range comes with such things as heated leather seats, pre heat etc.
you can get the leather seats in the other versions, but no heating, like sitting on a ice block

3) because the engine does not warm the car, any air temperatures under 4deg C the engine runs to heat the acr, so you are running a petrol heavy car

4) onn longer runs than 25 miles, the drive has to be done on the engine, a very thirsty petrol, so will actually cost you more
