Welcome to the forum,some years ago did exactly that with my brother-in-laws freelander so yes worked for me! |

I just connected a 12" length of fuel hose to one of the inlets, inserted a very small funnel into it and kept pouring fuel into it until it came out of all other outlets. Worked fine. Others have suggested immersing the filter in a bucket of fuel until air bubbles stop coming out of the filter. |

I’ve changed the filter a few times and always filled the filter with fuel via a syringe every time. Never had a problem starting the engine or running thereafter. Try using the syringe to fill the hoses just before re connecting. Some fuel obviously drains out when disconnecting.

Do the Draper connections fit ok? I measured the connections and emailed draper for the dimension on their primer and the weren't a match.
