doors unlock

Does anyone know can I set up doors unlock from inside same way as from remote: first press (or door handle) driver door, second all ? Good safety feature , but works only from remote. Freelander 2 HSE i6 Tonga Green

if you press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time it will pop the hatch lock - be patient it takes a second or two to make up its mind (this might be a lawyer thing so the hatch doesn't pop accidentally)

I see my russian english is not good enough to explain what I mean Confused
Majority of Moscow drivers including me have stupid habit to leave bags on passenger seat, lot of frauds based on this. Nevertheless of common sense personal security rules - lock doors, do not open on street e.t.c. peoples nature ( in moscow minimum) can not be changed. About month ago bad story happen near office parking:

old lada reversed into RAV4, young lady stepped out to see what happen (left keys in ignition), guy jumped into RAV from passenger side, lada and toyota gone.

Question is: approaching car I can unlock just driver door only and hatch, how can I do this when leaving car ? According manual no way, but can it be programmed ? I guess this is the question to dealer. Freelander 2 HSE i6 Tonga Green

This how my car works - one press of unlock button in remote + drivers door and hatch unlocked : two press of unlock button on remote all doors and hatch unlocked. Also on the remote there is the button for hatch unlock only, this unlocks the hatch and releases the lock which makes the hatch easy to open without pressing the button in the tailgate - when the hatch is closed the alarm is also reset.

The unlock button on the dashboard unlocks all the doors as does opening any door from inside the car.

My understanding on what EM is looking for is just the drivers door to unlock when he gets out, rather than when he unlocks to get in. I may have misunderstood though.

Only way I can see around this when exiting the car is to press unlock once on key fob before pulling driver door handle to exit car.

This should ensure that all other doors remain locked Thumbs Up
