United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Aintree Green

Not really,

They coughed up for the brakes to be done and the loan car from Enterprise. The fuel leak was done under warranty.

This time they, hopefully, will pay for a battery if needed. and a claim submitted for the cold start issue.

Like I said I ain't paying for diddly Laughing

Ian.

So, hopefully the end of the saga. Got the car back on Wednesday. Local dealer said fault now gone and maybe because they have inspected and cleaned all connections from relay base to glow plugs? They also said that they had checked the battery and it was OK after charging it Rolling with laughter

Since then I have pointed out to the supplying dealer that this is a 7 year old battery and after checking it myself I have confirmed (with a drop tester) that it is past it best.( LR Master Technicians Rolling with laughter)

The car now has a 85 AH battery with 800 CCA paid for by the supplying LR dealer and fitted by myself. (a small compromise).

So hopefully the cold start issue is now sorted.

Hope this helps others, and promotes being persistent and don't be fobbed off.

Perhaps the car was checked and found wanting, much easier to sell with warranty and see if it comes back, then claim on the warranty, much cheaper on the dealer that way. Not nice for you Sad my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.
