I know this is the FreeL2 forum but.....

My sister has just tragically lost her husband very suddenly from meningitis and he had left her some money. She has friends all around the country and currently only has a very small car. She would like an Evoque but we have no idea which one would be best for her.

We also need to know if we are best to lease or buy?

She will mainly be pottering around in it but will also be doing some longer journeys.

Any help greatly appreciated.

So sorry to hear that Julia.
Don't really know the Evoque range, but here's a few basics for her to ask herself.
If she wants an Evoque rather than a FL2 that would say she wants something sporty.
So a first step would be knowing whether she wanted the [sportier] 3 door or 5 door model.
Would she want power over economy as that would state which engine to go for.
Then there's the interior finish would she want all the toys, or happy enough with the basics.
Another thing would obviously be the colour, but then would she want the standard silver styling or the 'black pack' styling.
With new pricing from £29k to £50k there's a lot to consider.

Sorry for your families loss.

I had an Evoque pure TD4 (SD4 only now) manual, with a couple of options, auto lights/wipers, fogs, powerful mirrors. If its just to potter around in with the occasional long journey I would stick with the pure. It has most of the basics, cruise control, full leather, meridian sound system etc. I would register on babyrr.com just to get some friendly advice from the guys on there, I'm a bit rusty with current specs. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
