I had an argument with a small deer which cracked the front bumper and knocked out the foglamp.

We used one of these kits. Epoxy putty to stick it back together then polyester putty to fill the cracks, sanded down with very fine emery and quick spray of paint and I defy anyone to spot the damage. I had never done it before and very please with the result. Oh and I screwed the replacement bezel in place whilst the front was off.

Some but not all plastics can be repaired using solvent weld cement, plumbers use it on waste pipes that are produced specifically for this but push fit type won't adhere. Screwfix sell small pots of it for a few quid, you could also try the tubes of cement used for plastic airfix kits. Both types actually partly "melt" the plastic to bond it unlike superglue. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.

Finally got around to fixing my fog light! I used the Q-bond, and it seems to have been ideal for the job - just need to see if it holds after being jolted around for a few months/years. Looks reasonably neat, and feels very solid. So on bumper-type plastics at least Q-bond seems to work well. It needs the powder, though, and nothing much happened without it.

I had a similar problem requiring me to repair a crack in the bumper and a broken fog lamp fitting caused by a small deer . To refix the lamp unit I tried a number of plastic glues and eventually just screwed it all together with wood screws. The fog lamp Bezel hides the screw heads once back in place. The picture shows some of the screws but there were more at the end of the job.
