Just phoned the Landrover dealer & if you have an after market towbar fitted to the car into the electrics it will invalidate that part of the warranty. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

All depends on who you talk to, I bought the unregistered showroom car and my new car was sent down the road to 'TowOne trailers' by the dealer to have a Witter detachable fitted with a CANBUS dedicated loom and is covered by warranty. It was part of the deal in purchasing the car and is written into the purchasing agreement.

I'd have the genuine electrics fitted, the Towbar I would not touch the LR Detachable, or the Thule one, it's the same, if it's fitted correctly what part of the warranty could be invalidated Overtightning a bolt a stripping a thread that's about it |
