England 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
Door Mirror Covers

Morning all,
I bought a pair of full size chrome effect mirror covers before Christmas and was wondering if anyone on here had any experience in fitting such items. Quality and finish seems very good but considering these are full mirror covers (not just the top half) I was surprised to find only three thin strips of double sided tape to hold them on. It would need to be a snug fit to allow the tape to touch and stick to the mirror casing. Obvious solution would be to add more tape but I was wondering if anyone had any past experience and tips to pass on.
Unfortunately, although my GS is a 2013 MY, Land Rover appear to have fitted the older style mirrors so it doesn't have removable covers.
Thanks and all the best for the New Year to everyone.

I used Silicone adhesive plus the tape provided to fit my half mirror covers. When fitting keep them in place with some masking tape for about half an hour.
Job done.Thumbs Up

Thanks for the replies. I’m holding on until the weather gets better as mines currently parked outside. Daughter’s car is in my garage at the moment and as it took me quite some time to wash, polish and hoover it out for her last week, it’s going to stay there for a while. Good tip about the tape, I’ve got a few large elastic bands I m going to use when the time comes.
Thanks,
