On my old MY 57 you could change the car in built ring tone to use the phone own ring tone, on my MY13 the system as this feature as well but the button is greyed out so does anyone know how to activate this feature. I'm using the HTC one phone. Cheers Hinchy. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

It's activated only if the phone is fully compatible with the current software, I have the option of using my ringtone or the cars ringtone. Seems your software on the previous car was fully compatible.

Thanks Eyorkshire I've checked it, and it comes up fully compatible or may be it's not in real life. All the phone's features work apart from this one which is not a major problem just a crap ring tone. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

My14 uses my phones ring tone , can't remember how I did it but it seemed easy enough. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Try with ignition on but engine not running.....may not help but I've found that's the only way I can access some phone system settings on mine. They seem to be greyed out when running....maybe to stop you playing with them when driving? 2011 SD4 HSE Auto

The options that I have are the same as above, and can be changed with engine running or only on ignition. Just been out and tried, out of interest which model HTC One phone is it ?

The phone I have is the standard HTC one, it's only just been superseded by HTC one m8 so it's not an old phone and only 18 months old and all latest software updates. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

On your phone model on the site, did you click on 'More Info' and 'Incoming calls' to give you a more detailed description on ringtone compatability.

I didn't Eyorkshire thanks for that and that answers my question/problem so it's a feature unavailable to me.
