England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Tonga Green
LED rear lights on an older model

Hi,
I've recently fitted the latest model freelander 2 rear lights to my MY2007 Freelander. This involved wiring the old plugs to the new lights.
I tried the nearside first and noticed straight away that now n then the red LED rings, the side lights, flickered.
The offsidee light worked perfectly.
Since installation a month ago I have had trouble with the nearside LED rings, They have continued to flicker and more and more commonly the rings have not come on at all unless I switch off the engine and restart it.
I know LED's draw a lot less than the standard lights but I believe LED's will either light up, not light up or blow.
The fact that the offside works perfectly and the nearside is causing trouble leaves me baffled.

Has anyone else done this 'simple upgrade modification'?

One other thing, there are 3 little lights in the bottom red section of the cluster, right on the corner. The pair I got only had wires goig to the offside light. The nearside light has the same lense but no wires run to that part of the light.

This is the video I followed for the installation.

Cheers
