Memorable Albums

Having followed a link to the Disco forum about what albums people rate as their top ten, I thought it might me interesting to see the musical tastes of the freelie 2 crowd. I tried a search to see if this had been done before but came up with nothing. Pink Floyd seemed to feature highly amongst the Disco contingent so it might be a Land Rover thing as they also feature in my list. So here goes, no particular order (actually its alphabetical but not favourite down, if you see what I mean).

AC/DC - Dirty deeds done dirt cheap
Bad Manners - Stupidity
Budgie - Squawk
Deep Purple - Stormbringer
Dr Feelgood - Malpractice
Greenday - Shenanigans
Heavy Metal Kids - Heavy Metal Kids
Jethro Tull - Too old to rock 'n' roll
Pink Floyd - Wish you were here
The Who - Quadrophenia FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

The first album I ever bought was "jungle book" 50 new pence.
Deep purple are my fav band , my nick name now makes sense to you guys , I have met most of the mk2 lineup and all of the current line up. As for music I have a pretty varied collection, naming top 10 albums is hard as it depends on my mood. So I will give you top 10 artists
Deep purple
Rainbow
Abba
The black crows
Boston
Carpenters
The cult
Frank Sinatra
Vintage trouble
Rolling Stones Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

The rest of your albums are an acquired taste. Whistle

I agree, my tastes are varied, I did'nt include my dub, reggae & ska faves, unless you include the Bad Manners in that category. As I have over 2000 albums and many are from lesser known bands e.g Be bop deluxe, Greenslade, Barclay James Harvest etc I doubt anyone would have acquired a taste like mine Razz FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

Sorry Moley, I did mean less known not unknown. Most people would not know Dave Greenslade or his band if he bit them on the bum. If we all had the same tastes it would get very boring. How about Horslips? Can I class them as less well known Bow down FL2 Metropolis, Loire Blue, ebony/ivory

Nope Smile

I'll let you have Red Noise or PAL ( Wink Purplemadboy) though.

Personally I'll listen to anything from Gregorian Chant to Dubstep. Except opera, I F'ing hate opera.

I quite like rap/hip-hop. I can cope with some country, John Denver kind of thing, but not much.

To my list of stuff I can't stand I'll add dixieland jazz although I like other forms of jazz (Nice...)
