United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame
Engine breather pipe

Hi,

I bought an extendable mirror for looking into places without getting too dirty and looking at the bottom end of the engine breather pipe mine has a jubilee clip and some oil around that area. Having read what people do about the top section of the breather pipe, when a leak occurs the usual remedy is a jubilee clip, do you think mine has suffered in the past and someone has used this on the bottom connection? I will need to get under the car to take a look, hopefully a quick tighten of the clip should do?
Thanks.

I used a new clip and it still leaked. Next I tried Blue Hylomar which stopped the leak for a week.
By sheer luck, I took my car for a long run and not had a leak since. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

Jubilee clips can sometime pinch and leak near the screw. Have you thought of using this type of clamp.
