Yes I'll try the grease rather than sealant. It should repel the water enough if I put a good 'beading/ smearing' on. Wasn't planning on rubberised sealant. You shouldn't have to do stuff like this on a yearish old car!

With a leaking rear stop light lol
But in fairness to them they where very good to deal with
