Locking / Unlocking

Question about door locking / unlocking malfunction which seems to be occurring more often after 3 years of flawless performance.

Unlock, get in and start up, drive, stop, eject fob, get out and go to undo boot (or passenger door) and they're still locked….

Press fob again, no difference, and then again, and voila, it / or they open. Close boot (or p door) lock car, leave.
Return, press fob to open and everything works as it should. Drive, and then, when I stop again, the same malfunctioning cycle repeats and only the driver's door works initially. If I use the "boot" part of the fob as well, the boot does open. It seems that, after driving, the system is only prepared to unlock the driver's door and it needs further use of fob to undo the rest.

Question: is there some way to reset and rectify, (am I going daft), or is it a trip to the dealers? Confused

Does it do this with both keys? If not then battery in the key must be your first port of call and there are instructions on this forum on how to replace it. Remember that the key charges up inductively whilst driving. I have had similar erratic opening fixed with a new battery.

Morning DorsetFreeelander, and thanks for the reply.

Yes, both "keys" seem to suffer in the same way. I do alternate their use, but admit it's easy to just keep on going with one so could probably do it more often. Nice video link, again, thanks. Thumbs Up

Wizking, thanks for suggested post. I will try JBC's method tomorrow and see if it works. The door lock malfunction is not hugely important in the scheme of things, just irritating - and may degrade further and cause more problems - so I guess I'll just keep playing until I get it sorted.
