Hertford Kwikfit charged me £22.xx inc VAT for a puncture. That included nitrogen that wasn't asked for. |

78% of it is Nitrogen whether you want it or not. |

OK thanks guys I have just got approval from wife for two new tyres on the basis of your feedback. On to phase two. Now is it worth having one repaired anyway as a spare.........? |

Not guilty Mrs Dorsetfreelander, no advice offered by me
If they are inflating the tyre as per normal, the tyre surely needs to be totally flat, with all the current air removed, else they are only adding pure Nitrogen to the mix that is already in the tyre |

with 3mm left and the winter on its way, get some new tyres if affordable, 3mm is when I change mine anyway as risk of aquaplaning increases dramatically.

From what I understand a tyre is allowed up to 3 puncture repairs (in UK) then has to be scrapped. If the puncture is on the side wall then it has to be scrapped anyway. I might be wrong of course but with 2 punctures I would get it replaced .
