LRE photos

Well today I got ready for my 2.5 hour trek to my nearest Land Rover Experience centre. Everything is packed in the car and tomorrow I'm ready to start my 6am journey. I have been fortunate enough and have been many many times but it's a bit like Christmas you never get bored of it Laughing

I have upgraded to a full day, morning in a FL2 and the afternoon in a Defender. Does anyone have any questions regarding off roading as I'm happy to ask my instructor Whistle

I decided to get a new pair of wellies and opted for Hunters which are 3mm lined to keep your feet/legs warm and have a removeable 6mm insole which can be replaced with a 3mm should one wish too. Also picked up hunter socks and a handy travel bag to keep the boot clean.

Ps will be uploading Fridays photos when it comes :

Heated wheel will be handy in minus weather Laughing

The wellies I use in general we have a family farm which I help out on occasionally! When at a LRE Centre you do get out to assess the off-road conditions and I'd rather not ruin my trainers Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

A day to enjoy, sounds more fun than christmas and should provide better pics too.

However it looks like you got the wrong luggage, these are what you need to keep the contents secret.

Are black Argylls no longer the farmers favourite?

Re the video, it looks like the eastnor show where the show sites just as challenging as the off road course.

The FL2 was brilliant effortless and far superior than my FL1 but I love them both equally still Laughing

My only gripe if any was the auto box and the power delay when on the road test! I could not honestly tell that it had an extra 40bhp! When the pedal was to the floor it took at least 1 second for the torque converter to wake up. However in Sport mode I could notice the extra bhp but I assumed that the sport mode drive would be the standard set up for the car.

In the afternoon we had the Defender on a different track (the FL2 would get stuck) which was a joy to drive, I've driven a few 90 hard tops on tarmac but never a 110! They are still hand made and our one had the heated seat switches the wrong way around which made us chuckle - human error eh!

The manual box was nice and the diff lock was amazing but it did take a few attempts to get in engaged but I was told this is quite common. The D2 diff lock was never that troublesome to engage! The 110 was acting a recovery vehicle as it had a winch and tow bar!

Definitely worth the upgrade for those of us who are on Facebook like your local LRE centre as last minute you can get 10-20% off due to cancellations. However I paid the full amount for my full day upgrade as I booked it for now hoping it would snow Rolling Eyes

PS wellies are a must if your like me and want to assess the situation and venture out of your comfort zones Whistle MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Nut - best of luck with the Hunters - have you read the reviews on Amazon lately ?! Shocking quality since they moved the manufacturing to the east. FL2 2007 57 GS
D2 2005 Td5 - gone and not missed
FL1 2005 Td4 - gone and missed
