We had a fault code on our car and it turned out to be the terrain response module inside the car, apparently there was a fault with it. It used to happen intermittently even sometimes when we were braking or accelerating hard, other times it wouldn't come on at all or it would flash up as and when it wanted. Anyway our Land Rover specialist changed the control inside the car and all has been well since February. I don't know if this could be related to your fault but it might be worth letting you know.

Cheers
Simon.

Thanks for the reply Simon, but my problem is a little different in that it happens approx. 30 secs to 2minutes after I start the car. I don't have to move, the autobox is still in park, and, on start up all is ok, lights are normal in terrain response console then I get the error message and lights go out BUT

traction control switch and hill descent switch work normally (lights come on in the main instrument console) ???? (and cruise control still works when driving)

Regards

Clive

ps warrington is where I am from before going abroad for work

The hill descent and cruise control worked perfectly on ours, only when the error flashed up on the dash would the terrain response light on the module change and then not function. I always thought it was weird as everything else always worked perfectly even with the fault apparent. These cars seem so temperamental at times!!

Its such a small world, we're actually from just outside Warrington in Lowton but its only a stones throw away. Best of luck getting to the bottom of your problem

Regards
Simon
