I was chatting to my mates wife on Saturday night and she has a qashqai +2 ,she said it was so gutless that when joining a motorway the other day and old woman behind her was flashing her lights to move her along , my mates wife was so embarrassed , her foot was to the floor. No idea what engine it has & she was driving solo. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |

Surely that's the starter motor? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice. |

I thought the new Qashqai's were petrol only in the 1.2 litre and the diesels and petrol also came in 1.6 litre . |

I think you're right Dave, the petrol is 1.2 designated DIG, hence the confusion?

Sorry it's a 1.5 diesel 110bhp. Didn't find it underpowered with me and the big fat salesman in it. Power to weight it won't be much difference with the freelander. Anyway it's still not a done deal will see what he offers me today. silver 59 xs privacy glass side steps sat nav |

The Smart Car is available with a 799cc turbo diesel which produces 41 hp! I've been in one as a passenger, and it actually seemed quite quick. Or maybe the lack of metal encasing the passengers just made it feel like it was going quicker than it was! |

The Citroen 2CV was really good off road and probably even less power. |

A wee update.. still driving xs59 We buy any car offered £9880, nissan dealer offered £10000 so was in no rush to sell. Told the dealer I would think about it, think he thought I would be signing up there and then. Had 2 phone calls from him since then giving me the usual bullshit sales. silver 59 xs privacy glass side steps sat nav |
