United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Zermatt Silver
Nissan qashqai

Driving past the local nissan dealers today I popped in for a wee look around, ended up taking the qashqai for a test drive. Was impressed with it not in the freelander league but very nice to drive. It was only the 1.2 diesel model but had enough power. Lots of equipment with zero road tax and great mpg. Didn't have time to take any figures with the salesman going back in on Wednesday.
Had my freelander for 3 and half years with mostly trouble free but think it might be a good time to change. Told the wife but she's not that keen and she uses it 90% of the time I only seem to drive it when the fuel light is on.
What should I expect for my xs with 69000 miles on the clock? silver 59 xs privacy glass side steps sat nav

I was chatting to my mates wife on Saturday night and she has a qashqai +2 ,she said it was so gutless that when joining a motorway the other day and old woman behind her was flashing her lights to move her along , my mates wife was so embarrassed , her foot was to the floor. No idea what engine it has & she was driving solo. Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Ipanema Sand

Sold my 2010 facelift XS in June with 36k.
P/X values were between 12 and 13.5k, but sold in a week on Autotrader for 15k (advertised for 15.5k)
It was TD4 and very good condition.

Learn from my Honda mistake and stick with your FL2 Thumbs Up _________________

I thought the new Qashqai's were petrol only in the 1.2 litre and the diesels and petrol also came in 1.6 litre .

I think you're right Dave, the petrol is 1.2 designated DIG, hence the confusion?
The diesel is a whopping 1.46 Laughing

Sorry it's a 1.5 diesel 110bhp. Didn't find it underpowered with me and the big fat salesman in it. Power to weight it won't be much difference with the freelander. Anyway it's still not a done deal will see what he offers me today. silver 59 xs privacy glass side steps sat nav

The Smart Car is available with a 799cc turbo diesel which produces 41 hp! I've been in one as a passenger, and it actually seemed quite quick. Or maybe the lack of metal encasing the passengers just made it feel like it was going quicker than it was!

The Citroen 2CV was really good off road and probably even less power.

A wee update.. still driving xs59 Thumbs Up We buy any car offered £9880, nissan dealer offered £10000 so was in no rush to sell. Told the dealer I would think about it, think he thought I would be signing up there and then. Had 2 phone calls from him since then giving me the usual bullshit sales. silver 59 xs privacy glass side steps sat nav
