Clutch noise

If I start my car up in the morning from cold. Everything is fine.
When I depress the clutch and select first gear everything is OK.
But as soon as I reach the biting point to move off I get a loud grinding noise. As soon as I pull away it stops. Then it does not do it again.
I have also noticed when changing gear they don't feel like a smooth change iits quite clonky.

Can aanyone help ?

Without actually hearing it, it's difficult to tell but from what you have said it sounds like the Thrust Bearing, or possibly, to more than likely the DMF starting to fail, either way it's gearbox out.
