SE approach lighting: footwell, puddle and mirror lamps

hi,

I have the SE to test drive over the weekend. Last weekend I had the HSE. I like the interior lighting ie footwell, puddle and mirror lamps. I was disappointed not to see this in the SE. However, when I checked the brochure it clearly stated that its standard for both the SE and HSE. I just want to know from SE owners whether this is true or just a mis-print.

Thanks

My SE in the UK has all of these, but with the difference in countries this could change Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Different countries different spec. I have an SE and did not get the satnav as standard. HSE doesn't get it either. Also no sunroof.
Just out of coriosity do you get the option of a heated windshield in Australia, or heated seats Question FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER

Yes, its optional. They call it Cold Climate pack over here. Includes: Heated indscreen, heated windscreen washers and heated front seats.

As for the approach lighting I'm thinking that the later built LR2s (SE) have them. This SE I have was built back in Oct 07. I have to check with the dealer 'coz like I said it's stated on the brochure that they're standard on both models.

is there anything that could be rigged up to give you what you want

LED's linked to the interior roof lights that come on when you unlock the car, positioned on the footwells and LED spot lights in the mirror casings Question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

there are LED spot lights that are very small (Very bright single LED bulbs with casing), so i don't think there would be a problem,

I am no electrical wizard but sure linking into the interior light and running a cable to the foot wells and door mirrors would be fine, with the auto dimming function it should work great too.

In theory Question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I wonder if the connections might be there already. I can't imagine that there would be different wiring looms for different models of the FL2...................but then again I could be wrong........who know's what LR do Rolling Eyes ______________________
