It was a good "Experience", truly! I can recommend it to others! Amazing the detail gone to in CAD design & 3D printing of trial components, also the video cave giving a virtual in-car experience. Also the competitor car strip & evaluation process, so detailed. The Proving ground ride topped it off - surprising the abuse the D4 will take at speeds I would not consider and still keeps its occupants safe, helped by an excellent LR driver (Gareth), of course"

Nice to meet you all today, thanks Bob for organising. Initially I was hoping to learn something about the off-road capabilities, but I came away with, probably for me, a lot more useful sense of how great the DSC works, truly brilliant! As for the facilities already mentioned, absolutely fascinating. I can highly recommend the experience. |

It's a pity the off road section was missed, apparently they had another group in the afternoon and no vehicle washing facility, do we missed out on that part.

Thanks for organising a great day Bob and nice to meet you all. As others have said already, interesting to see some of the design processes. We played 'how did they make this?' with the 3D printed key fob when I got home. Scary how much you can push a big car like the D4 and it still behave itself. 2016 BMW X3 30d SE in red

Taz, Gareth told us the off road section was off limits as we had people in the 3rd row of seats, H&SaW would not allow it. Allowed braking from warp speed tho'

^^ sadly correct, 5 including driver maximum. H&S Nazis get everywhere, as does PC bull. The 'developing world' roads that we were on used to be called '3rd world roads', but someone complained that it wasn't PC, so they had to rename the whole damn track. Foraging near Gaydon....

It's a very different track to Halewood Nick....usually reserved for Corporate days out. My gut feeling was that the construction going on around the track put the ky-bosh on it....either that or they wanted their lunch ho hum.... Foraging near Gaydon....

We were told that we couldn't go on the Off Road section due to the weather making it a mess and they didn't have washing facilities p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |
