instrument binacle stopped working | |
hi everybody,
I have been having this flat battery / non starting issue with my 07 freelander 2 td for ages but it is usually cured by using a rapid charger for a couple of hours. Unfortunately today when I started it, it did fire up ok but the rev counter, speedo, trip and milometer didn't work, all blank. when I use the indicators they don't flash on the panel either but work on the car. any ideas ?
perhaps its the fuse. does anyone know which fuse I should look at. and because they are the knife type how do I know if its failed as with the glass type you can tell by the wire being broken.
any ideas most welcome
thanks in advance

many thanks for the quick reply and the link. I havnt been rooting around down there but I will check everything to see if anything is loose or the fuses need pushing in properly.

problem solved.
took out F8 under the glove box and gave it a rub, put it back in and instruments burst into life. if only everything in life could be so easily sorted.
Now if only I can get this recurrent battery drain issue fixed I will be happy.
thanks again for all the advice.
could be a Cumbria issue with all the rain we get.
