I have adapted many projector style headlights from RHD to LHD, by dissasembling the units and modifying the beam plate. However I failed to dissasemble the headlights on a friends 13 plate as I hit the same problem as you have and could not get the unit apart.

In the end I ground away a bit of the plastic to expose the screws, waste of time as it turned out as reflectors are in good shape. I've fitted the HID kit, not been out in the dark yet, will hopefully get out soon.

Well Done ! I was too nervous to modify the internals to enable dissasembly as the headlights were not mine and the costs of replacement expensive. I managed to sell the RHD units for £500 the pair, so recouped some of the outlay for the LHD units. |

I know it was a while ago, but I don't suppose you took a pic of how much you had to grind off did you? I've already upgraded to the HID kit but want to try and clean my lenses... |

It wasn't me lol. I failed with the FL2 headlights. They are so expensive that we decided to buy new and sell the old. If it was my own car I would have persevered, but my mate decided he was not prepared to take the risk. Good luck. |
