Indeed there was some talk abt LR offering the leather steering wheel as standardonly on the HSE. When I had the drvetest there was no leater steering wheel but when I bought mine there was . Such a difference. Still think that the leather steering wheelshould haave been offerede on lesser specs tha the HSE FREELANDER 2 TD4 SE (XS UK) IZMIR BLUE SIDE STEPS COLD PACK BI-XENON TINTED WINDOWS - AND PROUD OF HER |

Matei, looking at your pictures of the interior, I notice that you do not have leather seats. But your steering wheel is leather indeed! I agree - it should be a standard feature.

I do have what I think they call half leather / half fabric which is standard here on the SE LR is selling (more like a XS in the UK) as we don't get the satnav as standard. The leather wheel was ordered on this spec and I guess I paid abt 120 Eoros for the wheel but it does indeed lokk good. Even with the full leather Land Rover can only afford to give us leather facings the rest is crappy plastic (vinyl or what ever fancy name LR calls it) I still cant get over that shock and every time I sit on the "leather" seats I can feel the orrible plastic sides like oily cheap substitutes - oh why LR did you have to F K up an otherwise smart interior 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. That must be a different spec - my vehicle seems to have real leather all the way....seems that the bottom part is actually suede.

Hi, If you look at the Freelander e-brochure it states that the 'facings and bolsters' are leather. Mine certainly feel like leather with only the vertical side bits feeling like vinyl ( and with the hammer the side bits seem to be getting this might not be a bad thing!!) I am aware of what the brochure states but on the (Norwegian) price list with the FL2 options I made my choices from it did not mention that the leather was not full leather. I was happily ignorant of the fantastic plastic bits until this was discussed in a thread on this forum, and from that point in time my disappointment started . I have read since on the forum that several UK members have had after-market full leather fitted, cheaper than original LR option and presumably it would be possible to choose any colour At least the photos looked very good Unfortunatly here in Norway it would probably cost twice the price 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. When I was looking around the dealers in Kent to buy a car the one at Maidstone said he could fit full leather in any spec FL2 ( inc S ) for £1000! He didn't have any pictures though and I wanted Alpaca with Alpaca lower dash which he couldnt provide. How far is Kent from Norway...might be worth a trip Baltic blue XS - Alpaca Leather - 18" HSE wheels. |

If the leather seats are done as an extra by LR they have to order them and I would say that the seats would be sameason SE or HSE but if the seats are done aftermarket than the warranty for the seats would not be on LR but on the company that has done the aftermarket seats and you will have to go to that them if any problems and see if the warranty is also for 3 years and also covers off-road as they might say that they only cover normal conditions and not muddy jeans or extensive sun/frost exposure.

My dealer has a guy who re-upholsters cars with leather on site, This is the guy that the salesman promised would make me a proper boot handle to replace my beloved old belt...no news on that yet but I havn't exactly pushed him for it. At work

Well its a bit late now I guess as I bought the expensive LR option at Norwegian prices . If I had known earlier about the deal available in the UK, I could have re-upholsted in full leather on a visit to my parents in Bedfordshire - thats not too far from Kent 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
