Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

I was at a dealer this afternoon picking up a part and thought I would have a nosey in the showroom. I was given an actual thick broucher for the DS Shocked it's been a while since I've seen one these Laughing MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

I must say I like the Corris Grey-suits the DS.

Hunters had a fair few DS's without plates fitted in their yard so I suspect you aren't the only one left waiting. The DS is growing on me the more I see it Thumbs Up

I must admit I wasn't sure I was doing the right thing, the first time I saw it I thought what have they done, when I saw it in the flesh I felt a bit better but not convinced, then I had the test drive and everything, for me, fell into place.

A certain number of DSs that have been released to dealers are in quarantine, something to do with the electrical 2nd row seating folding mechanism, you can fold the 2nd row seats from a switch in the boot, well not those ones Laughing, an unnecessary feature causing unnecessary delays IMO, No sign of a fix yet either. I came out with the smart comment on the DS forum, that it wouldn't have happened it was a 5 seater, but they have it as well Embarassed

One member has cleverly worked out that you can set up Incontrol without the car being present, as LR states, all you need is the VIN, so he's been able to track his car on its journey and its showing it has a full tank of fuel Shocked

Nut, it's the first time in a long time that I've got a proper brochure also. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

I can understand some of the negative comments on here because it is such a step change from the FL2. Having sat in one though it made my FL2 seem really dated. I couldn't believe how spacious it was for it's size. I am 6'2" and it didn't feel cramped despite the lower roof line. I can't afford new so buying one is not an option for me. I don't think you will regret your decision though. Early signs are it is going to be a huge success for Land Rover which means high residual values like the Evoque.

Many of the comments on here refer to either the shape which many state is not LR but RR, others, though it is larger and more roomy it is not a practical roomy for their purposes, the shape and height of the tailgate entrance restricts the use as opposed to the more practical shape and size of the FL2. Very few actually won't buy it for it's ability as a car, perhaps if JLR made the DS as a RR and a slightly higher modified roof line as a Disco something, hopefully it may arrive. The worry is that the D5 may be a stretched RR Sport. thus making the DS logical. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

DS in Warringah Mall shopping centre, Sydney. The number plate is white NSW number plate 'CXT---' so it has just been registered.

Sorry for the crap photos, I normally use a 5d & never use the phone.

I like the look of the car. It is the same colour scheme as my Freelander inside & out. There was an Evoque parked near by so I could compare the two cars, also same colour scheme. They have similar looks.

But I still prefer my Freelander, it looks less like a school run car. Never the less, I think they will sell really well, especially to yummy mummies on the Northern Beaches (Sydney).

Bottom view..... the important bits, to soften the bumps & smooth the ride, so to speak!

Other half had a thorough look at the DS as well. She also prefers the Freelander..... What a relief!

I'm quite happy to look up just about anything!

It's still a LR dealer car as the fuel emission sticker is still on the windscreen.

It actually drove past me while I was parked in Green Street Brookvale (for the locals' reference) & I rubber necked to see where it drove into the shopping centre. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

It's not for everyone, but I love it, well chuffed with the colour combo. I will do a write up after a few days. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Yep has a speed limiter. Also has audible speed limit warning, I was doing 45 in a 40 Embarassed and this woman's voice told me it was a 40 zone. S**t my pants when I first heard it, didn't realise it had something like that fitted. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

While my car was being serviced I looked at one in the dealers showroom, I said to the sales guy about the lack of a spare wheel but he showed underneath the modified exhaust system with the spare underslung Surprised
Didn't realise it was available, then again I haven't read every post in this thread, just got to figure out where the dog can live now in comfort.
I am beginning to like it the more I see it.
