Mine has black roof ,no tow bar and black lettering on number plate, yours had the optional white letters.
Only drove it 12 mile before the wife nicked it to go to a school governor meet, I had to collect the kids from school in the ford ranger.

Straight forward handover about 20 forms to sign then away we went. Lloyds Ripon, hardest part was lapping Ripon bypass 3 times to ensure we used all the fuel up in the RRS before handing over.

A bit of a comedown in someways from air suspension and 6 cylinder, but also better in many ways. RRS was farmer spec with few toys. New one has toys galore. At work

Just doing a little reading during lunch and came across this (apologies if this has been posted previously)

Now I know you can get anything stuck but wouldn't expect to read about bits falling off as a result of it with a LR!

Reading that article I would have said that it was down to driver inexperience and poor choice of tyres..... until you read that the Macan (and whatever other vehicles were there) had ploughed through with very little problem.

Is this a sign that LR are now no more than worthy of the ''Chelsea tractor'' title designed only for the school run... does make you wonder ??

Agree regarding the choice of tyres (tires?), but clearly the driver had very little idea. Not knowing he had a towhook on the front, almost certainly not disengaging DSC, not using command shift... Also looks as if he was spinning the wheels way too much. As I happily learned on my LR Experience half day last week, the power needs to be aapplied progressively until the wheels bite - too much and they just spin and you go nowhere. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months
Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease
200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone
Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France
FR2 TD4 GS - Gone
FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS
New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white
Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge.

Agree that it's likely the driver had little idea and didn't help, but as RogB said the same group with the Porsche etc, seemed to manage ok.

Plus, what struck me more, the comments that a fair few bits of trim etc needed replacing afterwards, seemingly damaged by sticky mud, doesn't come across well for the company who used to make the 'Best 4x4xFar'.

They said they didn't need an eD4 model as the 4wd E-Capability met the emission standards. Don't see the point of it to be honest, not much cleaner than the 150 4wd model.

The 290 petrol Dynamic would be nice but £50K Confused 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Hate to say this but the facelifted DS does look nice. Thud

That bumper is exclusive to the 290 Si4, Dynamic Design pack.

I've already built one online in Byron Blue. Will need to wait until I've had the D5 a while, probably a year Laughing 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200

Not for a while Thumbs Up

I'm thinking of upgrading my 19" alloys, they look small on the D5. Probably put the 21" on or go the whole hog and get the ridiculous 22" 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200
