Up here it's still pretty much LR territory, my dealer is just down the road from the Mitsubishi dealer and the shoguns seem to hang around a lot longer than the Discos. They have about 10 L200s sitting all in black and have been there for weeks, what does seem to be selling well up here is the Outlander PHEV.

Around here there is a lot of new Discos. I also think there is a lot of life left in it.

I was in my local LR dealers the other day and they had a 5 seater DS in the showroom. It also had the blue sport badge on the back, indicating it was the low CO2 model, so 150PS? It had a spare wheel as well, though I can't remember if it was full size or not.

At the dealers as I type, having a chat with my salesman and he said a baby Freely is on its way, no doubt branded as a Disco of some sort, perhaps 2017/18 after the Full Fat Disco. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

Totally expect so and will be Mazda Cx3 size. But LR need to be far more proactive with their model lineup/realinement with the market! I'm also hoping that they realise that having a family cohesion is not the same as making them all look the same as an Evoque because its flavour of the month. Dangerous plan until the next marque comes along with the next "it" car and all the fickle buyers leave LR. MY15

At last, LR person confirming what many of us had heard around ......... a baby FL2/DS/or whatever. Please, please may it contain some of the essential features they "forgot" when designing the much awaited DS, like command driving position & stadium seating in the back, a rear-end that doesn't drop away like the Ewoke & DS limiting height of boot-space, a spare wheel etc.!! Life is not a dress rehearsal! |

I was looking around the dealership at Evoques and Disco Sports, and always thought I prefered the DS to Evoque but I think it's the other way round, the Evoque isn't trying to be something it's not, it has its own niche market, where as the DS is, I won't say replacing, but filling a gap left by a previous model which set the bar pretty high as an all rounder. 21MY Defender 90 S 3.0 D200 |

I drove through Bridport in Dorset the other day, there is a Mitsubishi dealer there and it was noticeable how many of their vehicles were about. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

Newest shoguns up here I've seen are around an 11 plate. There is one 15 plate used as a maintence highway vehicle. Shoguns have failed up here! All they are is an overpriced 2WD car Permanent four wheel drive is needed up here roads are always moist and winters can be extremely harsh. Not to mention if your pulling a trailer regularly can't go wrong with a permanent four wheel drive system MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

If the DS came priced @ about £30K with 2wd high, 4wd high, 4wd high centre diff locked and 4wd Low centre diff locked, a 3000kg towing capability and 700 mm wading depth I think I would have one...... but alas we are unlikely to see such a spec until (maybe) a replacement Defender arrives. |

My Freelander is in the dealers again and now I have a Disco sport auto as a courtesy car. All I can say is that it's obviously been designed for the school run market. It drives nicely but it's not a very practical vehicle. I don't want two silly seats in the boot, I want a spare wheel and I don't need an electric boot opener. The rear seats don't seem to fold down flat properly and the boot opening isn't really big enough to get a builders dumpy bag full of garden rubbish in. Ground clearance under the rear trailing arms doesn't look too good either.
