Ventriloquist on the radio! For those too young to understand Google "Archie Andrews" or there maybe clips on "U Tube"

Yes Bill, I remember "Educating Archie". The joke was, we all fell for it and thought it was normal! Apparently Peter Brough was a crap vent. John

I fell for it too when it was on the radio, although I was very young at the time Whistle
Then the programme was broadcast on tv and I felt cheated as I could clearly see Peter Broughs' lips moving in what seemed no attempt to disguise the fact.
I never watched it again.
But it was good on the radio Thumbs Up
Seems madness today Laughing [/i] Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

I like to find humour when things are going well.
When I was in my mid 20's, it was my Fathers funeral. He worked in signalling for British Rail. He had a dry but innocent sense of humour.
Loads of blokes from BR turned up to pay their respects. Afterwards, outside the crem, Dads boss talked to me and amongst other things, regretted that they couldn't stay for refreshments. I replied by saying 'Quite wise, your lot made the butties and they're five quid each'! Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
